Pavna Industries Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Jul 2026
- Hosur greenfield plant - South India entry - Groundbreaking was held on 19 January 2026 for a new \~4-acre facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, with Phase 1 investment of ₹50 crore and operations expected to commence later in 2026. The plant positions Pavna next to key South Indian OEMs like TVS Motor and Ola Electric, removing a geographic barrier to winning higher-volume business from that region.
- Joint Venture with SmartChip Microelectronic - EV and electronics - The JV entity Pavna SMC Private Limited was incorporated on 5 November 2025, with Pavna holding 80% and Taiwan-based SMC contributing technical skills in EV motor controllers, throttle bodies, dashboards, and e-locking systems. It opens a direct path into EV-specific electronics and non-auto segments, adding a technology-led revenue stream distinct from the legacy mechanical components business.
- Oil pump supply to Hero MotoCorp - Subsidiary Pavna Sunworld Autotech commenced production and supply of oil pumps to Hero MotoCorp on 14 July 2025 for the Splendor and Glamour models across all six of HMCL’s Indian plants, ramping toward a target of 50,000 units per month. This adds a high-volume, repeat-order product line with India’s largest two-wheeler maker, lifting plant utilisation and revenue visibility.
- MoU with Uttar Pradesh Government - ₹250 crore investment - Signed on 24 November 2025, the MoU outlines a proposed ₹250 crore investment over 3-5 years with employment of approximately 500 people, with the state government facilitating permissions and incentives. It signals a multi-year capacity build-out that, if executed, would materially scale the company’s manufacturing footprint beyond its current ₹101 crore debt and ₹28.7 crore EBITDA base.
- Strategic shift from casting to proprietary business - The proprietary business grew over 20% in FY25, with non-casting revenue rising from ₹220 crore in FY24 to ₹260 crore in FY25, and management expects the margin impact to reflect from FY26 onwards. Exiting the lower-margin casting segment simplifies the earnings profile and directs capital toward higher-margin proprietary components.
- Land assembly near Jewar Airport - Between July and November 2025, Pavna acquired multiple contiguous parcels totalling approximately 15.8 acres near the upcoming Jewar Airport in Uttar Pradesh. The assembled land creates a ready base for future expansion in a logistics-connected zone, lowering the lead time for any new large-scale project.
- QIP and preferential issue - ₹320 crore fund raise approved - The Board approved a QIP of up to ₹320 crore on 9 April 2025, following a ₹210.7 crore preferential issue in January 2025, with Crisil upgrading the credit rating to BBB/Stable in September 2025. A successful raise would fund the Hosur, Pantnagar, and Jewar initiatives while reducing the need for incremental debt on a balance sheet already carrying ₹101 crore of borrowings.
- Pantnagar greenfield facility - proximity to Bajaj Auto - A \~1-acre plot was acquired at the Integrated Industrial Estate in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand, to set up a greenfield unit for proprietary components nearer to Bajaj Auto and other OEMs. Co-location with a major client can shorten delivery cycles and improve margins on existing and new contracts.
- OLA Electric partnership - A strategic supply agreement signed in April 2024 covers ignition switches and latches across OLA Electric’s Indian manufacturing units. It ties Pavna to a high-growth EV OEM, giving the proprietary business a volume anchor in the electric two-wheeler space.
