- Credit growth guidance: PNB is maintaining its credit growth guidance of 13% to 14% for the financial year, supported by sustained momentum across retail, MSME, and agriculture sectors.
- FCNR deposit mobilization: The bank mobilized $2.7 billion in FCNR deposits, surpassing its initial target of $2 to $2.5 billion, and replaced bulk deposits and CDs to prevent any impact on NIM and NII.
- UPI MDR structure: New MDR rules will not affect individuals or small merchants, keeping peer-to-peer transfers, transactions under ₹2,000 (which account for 96% of total volume), and merchants transacting up to ₹1 lakh monthly completely free.
- Essential services fee: Essential categories such as fuel, railways, telecom, and insurance will incur a flat ₹5 MDR regardless of the amount, while other transactions above ₹2,000 will face a 0.4% fee capped at ₹300.
- Digital infrastructure expansion: The nominal charges applied to 3% to 4% of UPI transactions will fund cybersecurity and system resilience to support offline features, credit on UPI, and global expansion beyond the current 11 partner countries.
