POCL Enterprises Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report

as of Jul 2026

  1. Planetfirst merger - The merger of PlanetFirst Green (appointed date 1 April 2026) brings 37,500 MTPA of lead refining capacity that generated ₹245 cr of revenue in just seven months of FY26 and carries export orders of 25,000 MT (\~₹500 cr) for FY27. Management targets ₹700 cr of revenue from the merged entity in FY27, which would add nearly 50% to POEL’s standalone topline while lifting overall net margins toward 4%.
  2. Trichy Metals acquisition - POEL’s board approved a 51% stake in Trichy Metals and Alloys on 1 July 2026, adding 26,000 MTPA of lead refining and 21,500 MTPA of smelting with revenue potential of \~₹600 cr per annum. The acquisition, expected to close by 30 August 2026, also opens a path into copper and aluminium diversification.
  3. Zinc oxide capacity expansion - A 2,400 MTPA addition at the Mettupalayam metallic oxides division is due for completion by July 2026 and is expected to add ₹60-70 cr of annual revenue. The expansion directly lifts output in a segment that already contributes roughly 30% of group revenue.
  4. Zinc metal commercialisation - POEL sold 1,815 MT of zinc metal in FY26, generating ₹48.70 cr of turnover, and holds orders worth ₹50 cr for the first half of FY27 alone. The ramp-up turns a trial-phase product into a recurring revenue stream with a visible near-term order book.
  5. Copper scrap processing - Trial operations in processing lead-copper cables have begun, with annual revenue potential estimated at ₹80-100 cr. The initiative extends POEL’s metal recovery capabilities into copper without a large upfront plant build.
  6. Maraimalai Nagar modernisation - The 11,000 MTPA lead smelting and refining unit commissioned in early FY26 completed a 25-day upgrade in Q4 and is now fully operational with improved efficiencies. The unit carries \~₹200 cr of annual revenue potential and its debottlenecking supports volume growth in the current year.
  7. LME brand listing and export order - POEL’s lead received LME brand listing, making it deliverable at LME warehouses worldwide, and the company has already secured a contract to supply 15,000 MT of refined lead ingots to international buyers. The listing opens benchmark-priced export volumes that were previously inaccessible.
