- Andhra manufacturing hub: Raymond plans to consolidate its Bangalore aerospace, defence and engineering activities in Andhra Pradesh, aiming for operating leverage, disciplined investment and a platform for global growth.
- Brownfield transition: Brownfield capacity is being developed alongside the greenfield facility to qualify machines and processes, train workers and run trial production without disrupting customers. Brownfield addresses near-term needs; greenfield is intended to provide long-term scalability, and no commissioning date was given.
- Customer demand: Management cited encouraging demand from existing aerospace customers. Raymond serves close to 25 global aerospace customers, manufactures 1,400-plus aerospace items and adds 100-plus items annually, with growth focused on complex, high-value components.
- Financial benefits: Raymond currently operates close to 80% of capacity across scattered Bangalore facilities. Consolidation, removal of duplicated services and backward integration in heat treatment, forging and casting are expected to support EBITDA, revenue and margins; the Andhra facility is 90 minutes from Bangalore.
