- Energy capacity expansion: The company aims to double its operating energy capacity from approximately 1 GW to 2 GW over the next 3 to 4 years. Growth will be driven by brownfield expansion at SKS Power, doubling operational hydropower capacity alongside current 75 MW projects, and adding 50 MW of solar power.
- Deleveraging and liquidity: Sarda Energy is already net debt-free on a standalone basis and expects to become net debt-free on a consolidated level by the end of the financial year, even after factoring in debt from the SKS acquisition. The balance sheet holds approximately ₹2,000 crore in liquidity.
- Coal mining pipeline: Operating capacity at the Gare Palma IV/7 thermal coal mine reached 1.8 million tonnes per annum with further expansion underway. Four high-grade coal mines for steelmaking will come online over the next few years, starting with the Shahpur West mine in the coming financial year.
- Raw material pricing: Thermal coal input costs remain stable due to robust domestic supplies, while cost increases in iron ore and high-grade coal are largely offset by an approximate 10% rise in end-product prices since the prior quarter.
- Godawari Power stake: The acquisition of a 0.22% stake in Godawari Power & Ispat was executed purely as a standard treasury operation, representing less than 1% of the company's total liquidity.
