Senco Gold Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report

as of Aug 2026

  1. Franchise-led store expansion - Senco added 26 net showrooms in FY26 to reach 201, and 8 more in Q1 FY27 to 209, with 12-15 more planned for the rest of FY27, majority franchise and focused on East and North India. Franchisees fund store capex and inventory, so each new store adds revenue at near-zero capital for Senco, supporting the stated goal of 300+ stores in 4-5 years.
  2. Non-East India penetration - Senco entered Rajasthan and Maharashtra via franchise in FY26, with the FY27 pipeline skewed to Bihar and UP, and Q1 FY27 openings across West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha and UP. These are new markets where Senco has little presence today, so each store adds a fresh revenue stream rather than cannibalising existing showrooms.
  3. Franchise revenue mix shift - Franchisee showrooms already contribute \~33% of revenue, with over 90% on the FOFO model where Senco bears no store opex. As the mix tilts further toward FOFO, operating leverage improves because franchise fees and inventory sales carry higher margins than company-operated stores.
  4. Sennes lifestyle format scaling - Sennes grew to 13 stores (12 at FY26 end, 1 added in Q1 FY27) with a separate wholly owned subsidiary, and management is exploring the franchise route for it. At an average ticket of ₹36,000 versus ₹1.23 lakh for Classic stores, Sennes targets a younger, higher-frequency customer, adding a new demand segment rather than competing with the core gold business.
  5. Lab-grown diamond launch - Senco launched its Lab-Grown Diamond business in 2025, adding a product category with lower price points than natural diamonds. This broadens the addressable customer base, particularly younger buyers, and gives showrooms a second diamond offering to convert footfall.
  6. International presence in Dubai - Senco operates 2 showrooms in Dubai, its first international market, opened in 2024. Dubai serves as a test bed for Gulf expansion, where the Indian-origin diaspora is a large jewellery buyer, and any scaling there would add revenue outside the competitive Indian market.
  7. Hub-and-spoke operating model - Management's Vision 2030 strategy includes operating leverage via SSSG and a hub-and-spoke model, where large flagship stores (House of Senco, 4 showrooms) support smaller surrounding outlets. This lets Senco serve more towns with lower per-store inventory and staff costs, improving same-store economics as the network densifies.
