SG Mart Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report

as of Aug 2026

  1. Service center network expansion - 7 centers are operational, with 3 more to open in FY27 and a target of 16 by 2028; Q1 FY27 volume hit 160,000 tons at ₹2,000/ton EBITDA. At 10,000 tons monthly per center, 25 centers imply 0.3 crore tons annually - roughly ₹150 crore EBITDA from Indian centers alone in FY27.
  2. Backward integration - Raipur coated steel - Construction has begun and machinery is ordered for the coated steel line, fully operational in 18 months. This lifts EBITDA per ton from ₹3,000-4,000 to ₹6,000-7,000 across steel profiles and solar structures, and cuts working capital days from 27 to 20-25.
  3. Steel profiles ramp-up - Launched in Q4 FY26, volumes reached 18,000 tons in Q1 FY27 against 200,000 tons installed capacity; FY27 volume is guided at 100,000 tons plus. At ₹5,000-6,000/ton EBITDA, that is ₹50-60 crore from a business that did not exist six months ago.
  4. Solar structures capacity tripling - Raipur plant has started and Pune starts in February, tripling capacity from the single Ghaziabad plant; Q1 FY27 volume was 11,000 tons with a ₹300 crore order book. Management targets 15,000-20,000 tons monthly - 20-25% of the market - versus the current \~5,000-ton run rate.
  5. New product pipeline - 10 products launched across profiles and accessories; 7 more launch in the next two quarters, including puff panels, decking sheets and wire mesh. These carry ₹4,500-5,000/ton EBITDA versus ₹2,000/ton for plain HR-based service center products.
  6. B2B metal trading scale - FY26 volume was 410,000 tons; FY27 guidance is 500,000 tons at ₹800-900/ton EBITDA, or \~₹50 crore. New steel capacity of 2.75 crore tons coming online in India between FY25 and FY27 gives the company more supply to trade.
  7. Capex funded internally - FY27 capex is ₹400-500 crore against ₹1,500 crore total over 2-3 years, with ₹700 crore already spent and no dilution planned. FY26 operating cash flow of ₹300 crore already funded ₹250 crore of capex, and the balance sheet closed with ₹750 crore net cash.
  8. Downstream distribution via APL Apollo network - Distribution revenue reached ₹196 crore in Q1 FY27, up from ₹125-130 crore in Q4, using 800 group dealers reaching 50,000 retail shops. The group's distributor network represents \~₹4 trillion of potential business, and EBITDA runs at ₹1,000-1,500/ton.
