Sonam Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report

as of Aug 2026

  1. Premium clock portfolio shift - Sonam launched Night Glow, digital calendar, and premium sweep clocks in Q1 FY27, with new models every month, and targets the ₹5,000-₹10,000 price band in FY27-28 versus today's ₹135-₹4,500 range. Designer clocks are the one growing segment while usual wall clock demand has fallen 65%, so this moves mix toward higher-margin value products.
  2. Distribution network expansion - Management plans to widen the dealer and distributor network beyond the current 150+ distributors and 35,000+ retailers across 16 states and 13 export markets. With capacity utilisation at just 60-70%, broader reach converts existing idle capacity into revenue without new capex.
  3. Export recovery in Iraq and GCC - Iraq alone is 37.86% of international revenue, and shipments were held up by Middle East logistics, described as temporary. FY26 forex earnings fell to ₹1,570.98 lakh from ₹2,192.65 lakh in FY25, so resuming those orders restores a meaningful revenue stream.
  4. B2C online channel scale-up - Sonam entered Flipkart, Amazon, and Myntra in the last few months, currently in a 2-3 month trial to assess returns and damage before scaling fully. This opens a direct-to-consumer route with higher realisations than the distributor channel, on products already in production.
  5. Clock movement backward integration - In-house quartz movement capacity stands at 2.4 crore per annum, with 70% market coverage in movement sales domestically and abroad. Making movements in-house since 2012 removes external supplier dependency, protecting margin on every clock sold as volumes scale.
  6. OEM and corporate gifting - Sonam manufactures private label clocks for leading brands and supplies customized clocks for corporate, promotional, and institutional bulk orders. This diversifies revenue beyond the Sonam brand and utilises spare capacity at 60-70% utilisation without incremental fixed cost.
