Sree Rayalaseema Hi-Strength Hypo Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Jul 2026
- Sodium Methoxide Powder capacity doubling - Four new dryers are being installed to lift Sodium Methoxide Powder capacity from 5 tpd to around 10 tpd, with work already in progress and steam-supply upgrades completed to reduce dryer batch times. Doubling capacity in a high-value pharma-input product directly expands the highest-margin portion of the chemicals segment without requiring a new plant.
- Sulphuric Acid plant debottlenecking - SAP-1 output has already improved from 180 tpd to 200 tpd through a higher-capacity electric air blower, and SAP-2 gas-duct modifications are planned to cut pressure drop and lift acid production further. Incremental tonnes from debottlenecking drop almost entirely to the operating profit line because the fixed-cost base is already absorbed.
- 132 KVA substation and dedicated power supply - AP Southern Power Distribution Company Limited began supplying power to the factory from April 2025 through a newly set-up 132 KVA substation funded by the company. A reliable, dedicated grid connection reduces dependence on costlier captive or purchased power and supports uninterrupted operation of expanded chemical capacity.
- Sulphuric Acid plant energy capture - Turbine modifications in SAP-2 and SAP-3 using MAN turbine designs are being evaluated to lift power generation while still meeting steam demand, alongside a proposal to generate power from the turbine condenser cooling-water return head in SAP-3. More in-house power from waste heat directly lowers the net energy cost of the company's largest input.
- Calcium Hypochlorite byproduct recovery - A lab-developed method to recover Calcium Hypochlorite from the mother-water byproduct stream has been commercialised on one stream, recycling material back into production and cutting raw-material cost. Recovering product that was previously lost improves unit margins at a time when international demand for Calcium Hypochlorite is identified as a growth opportunity.
- 10 MW Thermal Power Plant disposal - The Board resolved in August 2025 to shut down the economically unviable 10 MW thermal plant and sell it. Removing a loss-making asset stops the cash drain from its operations, and sale proceeds can be redeployed into the higher-return chemicals business.
