Tanla Platforms Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Jul 2026
- Wisely.ai Indosat deployment - Tanla’s AI-native platform went live with Indosat in August 2025, covering nearly 100 million subscribers under a multiyear SaaS contract, and Indosat attributed a 10% ARPU increase directly to the platform. This single deployment validates the product at scale and opens a global pipeline of telco prospects, with management describing several leads as “hot”.
- Wisely.ai global telco pipeline - Management reports strong interest from operators across Southeast Asia and EMEA following the Indosat results, with a large pipeline and a couple of “hot” leads in discussion. Converting even one additional tier-1 telco would add a second high-margin SaaS revenue stream on the same platform base, with per-user-per-month pricing already proven.
- OTT channel growth - OTT channels (WhatsApp, RCS, Truecaller) grew from 23% of revenue in FY25 to 31% in FY26, with WhatsApp alone reaching a quarterly annualised run rate of \~₹700 crore in Q4 FY25. These channels are growing faster than SMS and carry higher margins, shifting the revenue mix toward a structurally more profitable base.
- Enterprise gross margin recovery - Enterprise Business gross margin rose to 20.2% in Q4 FY26 from 17.9% a year earlier, a five-quarter high driven by customer mix and stabilised pricing. On a revenue base of over ₹4,400 crore, each point of margin recovery adds roughly ₹44 crore to EBITDA with no additional capex.
- New platform launch Q1 FY27 - A “gigantic” new platform is scheduled for launch in Q1 FY27, with the CEO personally involved for 40 days and an announcement expected within a month of the Q4 FY26 call. The platform targets both telcos and enterprises, creating a fresh revenue stream that the existing enterprise sales team can cross-sell immediately.
- Wisely ATP bank expansion in India - Three banks are now live on the anti-phishing platform, with Bandhan Bank going live in March 2026 and billed for one month in Q4 FY26. Each new bank adds a five-year, per-subscriber subscription stream, and management hopes to win more banks in FY27.
- MaaP RCS international deployments - Tanla’s RCS platform went live with Telkomsel and Indosat in Indonesia in Q1 FY26, with revenue starting from Q2 FY26, and the model is replicable to other countries. Tanla is already Google’s largest global RCS partner, and RCS revenue grew 4x year-on-year in Q3 FY25.
- Capital return and free cash flow - Free cash flow was ₹477 crore (94% of PAT) in FY26, with over 75% conversion sustained for three years, and the company returned ₹340 crore via buyback and dividends while still holding ₹1,144 crore in cash. Annual capex of ₹100-150 crore is modest relative to cash generation, leaving ample room for further shareholder returns or inorganic moves.
