- Capex and pipeline: Tata Power deployed a record quarterly capex of ₹5,300 crore toward a full-year target of nearly ₹25,000 crore, aiming to commission 2.5 to 2.7 gigawatts of its 5.3-gigawatt renewable pipeline in the current financial year.
- Odisha manufacturing plant: The company is investing ₹6,675 crore to build a two-phase, 10-gigawatt ingot and wafer plant in Odisha, with the 5-gigawatt first phase beginning construction in October and slated to be operational by January 2028.
- Portfolio mix shift: Supported by its renewable and network build-out, Tata Power expects its revenue split to evolve from equal one-third shares across units to 40% from renewables, 40% from transmission and distribution, and 20% from conventional generation within two years.
- Margin and leverage: Management attributed Q1 margin pressure to seasonal billing timing in distribution, projected FY27 margins to be 10% to 15% higher, and noted that more than 50% to 60% of capex is funded by internal cash accruals with debt-to-equity maintained at 1.2.
