Texmo Pipes & Products is a plastic-pipe manufacturer that set out to be a one-stop shop for anything that moves or stores water - from farm irrigation to bathroom plumbing. Born as a small partnership in 1999 and converted into a public company in 2008, it has spent over 38 years building a catalogue of more than 2,200 products under one roof, anchored by a single idea: make quality pipes and fittings, distribute them efficiently, and let the brand do the selling. That idea still explains everything - the company runs as a single integrated plastic-products engine, and every new product or factory is just another aisle in the same store.
Business segments
A single engine - a comprehensive plastic-piping and water-storage platform - that sells branded pipes, fittings and tanks to farmers, builders and government projects across India.
1. Plastic piping and water storage: the one-stop shop for Indian water infrastructure
The company makes and sells over 2,200 plastic products - from rigid PVC pipes to rotomoulded water tanks - so a contractor or farmer can fill an entire order from one catalogue.
- Full-range manufacturer, not a specialist - the product line spans CPVC and UPVC plumbing pipes, HDPE coils, SWR (soil, waste and rain) drainage pipes, casing pipes for borewells, drip-irrigation rolls, sprinkler systems, suction hoses, moulded fittings and roto-moulded water storage tanks. That breadth means the company can supply an entire water-management project rather than just one component.
- Branded, with a B2C pull - products carry the Texmo brand and are sold into both retail and project channels; the company itself flags the risk of consumers “down trading from branded products to non branded,” confirming that brand recognition matters in the purchase decision. Dealer meetings and advertising on local buses reinforce that brand on the ground.
- Government schemes fill the demand pipeline - key buyers include state water-supply agencies and infrastructure contractors, and demand is directly linked to public programmes such as the Jal Jeevan Mission (piped water to every rural household), AMRUT, Smart Cities, PM Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (irrigation) and PM Awas Yojana (housing). When the government lays pipes, Texmo is one of the suppliers that gets the call.
- Water tanks complete the system - in early 2022 the company added roto-moulded plastic water tanks under the “TEXMO WATER TANK” brand, turning the catalogue from a pipe-and-fitting set into a full overhead water-storage solution for homes and commercial sites. The tank line contributed standalone revenue of Rs. 666 lakhs in FY25, making it a small but logical extension rather than a separate business.
- A trading top-up, not a separate engine - alongside its own manufactured goods, the company trades in some plastic products, which in FY25 accounted for Rs. 3,683 lakhs of standalone revenue. This is a complement to the manufacturing core - filling gaps in the catalogue - not a distinct business line.
Manufacturing and distribution backbone
The company runs two plants in Madhya Pradesh, uses in-house solar power, and has steadily automated its shop floor - all to keep costs down while churning out a wide product range.
- Two-plant footprint in central India - the main factory is in Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh, and a second plant operates in the Pithampur Industrial Area (Indore region) through its 51%-owned subsidiary Shree Venkatesh Industries, which completed its first full year of operations in FY25. Both sites sit in a region that can serve northern and western Indian markets.
- Solar and rainwater cut utility bills - a solar power plant on the factory premises reduces grid-electricity dependence, and rainwater harvesting is practised at the site. Every rupee saved on power and water flows straight to the factory’s cost competitiveness.
- Shop-floor automation, piece by piece - the company has installed online PVC socketing machines (replacing manual work), laser marking on LLDPE pipes (cutting power use by nearly seven times versus ink printing), chiller-water cooling on HDPE extruders (allowing a 5HP motor instead of a 7HP one), and automatic conveying sealing machines. A double-head fusing machine now does two sprinkler-pipe joints at once, and LDR sensors switch off equipment to avoid wasted power. These are small, practical changes that compound into lower conversion costs.
- SAP backbone with tight controls - the company runs on SAP ERP, supported by divisional Delegation Manuals and Standard Operating Procedures that enforce tiered approvals and segregation of duties. That means a mid-sized manufacturer can handle 2,200 SKUs without losing track of inventory or money.
- Raw-material risk managed centrally - plastic and polymer prices swing widely, so the company runs a central trading-and-control process that calibrates the timing and quantity of purchases. It is a commodity-risk discipline, not just a procurement function.
Group structure and partners
The company is a promoter-led Indian manufacturer with a small overseas trading subsidiary, a recently acquired manufacturing subsidiary, and a foundation that channels CSR spending into local communities.
- Promoter-founded and promoter-run - Managing Director Sanjay Kumar Agrawal founded the business and holds an MBA and law degree alongside 34 years of industry experience; Chairperson Rashmi Agrawal brings over 24 years of business-management experience. The Agrawal family remains the controlling shareholder group, having increased its stake through a preferential issue of equity shares in 2020.
- UAE trading outpost - the wholly owned subsidiary Tapti Pipes and Products Ltd FZE is registered in the Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah, and engaged in general trading, giving the group a low-cost presence in the Middle East market.
- Pithampur plant held through a 51% subsidiary - Shree Venkatesh Industries Private Limited, acquired in stages during FY24-FY25 for a total cash consideration of Rs. 20.61 crore, runs the second manufacturing site in the Pithampur Industrial Area. The acquisition is a related-party transaction - directors Rashmi Agrawal and Sanjay Kumar Agrawal held interests in the target - but the company states it was conducted at arm’s length on prevailing market terms.
- A second wholly owned subsidiary for future capacity - Shree Venkatesh Polymers Private Limited was incorporated in April 2023 to carry on plastic-product manufacturing and trading, though it had not yet begun material operations as of the latest filings.
- CSR delivered through a dedicated foundation - the Texmo Pipes Foundation, a Section 8 company in which Texmo holds a 50% stake, runs health camps, blood-donation drives (421 units in 2024), tree-planting drives, adoption of five schools, and skill-development training in plastic extrusion for local college students.
