Technocraft Industries (India) Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report

as of Aug 2026

  1. Aluminium formwork expansion - Mach One revenue is on track to hit ₹900 crore in FY26, up from roughly ₹550 crore in the first nine months, with the Aurangabad extrusion plant running at 100% utilization and fully backward-integrated. Phase 2 of the Aurangabad expansion (\~₹150 crore capex) begins late FY27, lifting capacity from 75,000 to 100,000 sq m per month with effects visible in FY28-29.
  2. US scaffolding recovery - Scaffolding demand has been strong in the US since January 2026, driven by AI chip plants and semicon construction, with volumes up 28% YoY in Q1 FY27 to 10,385 MT. Management expects FY27 to be a better year than FY26, and capacity can be added within three months using existing space in Mumbai and China plants.
  3. Drum closure margins - The drum closure segment hit a record \~43% EBIT margin in Q1 FY27, with volumes up 17% YoY to 199 lakh sets, helped by rupee depreciation on \~100% export revenue. China volumes are expected to rise 10-15% in FY27, with capacity available to support growth.
  4. Engineering services AI ramp - Technosoft revenue grew 24% YoY to ₹78 crore in Q1 FY27, with AI-based vision systems and automation services winning large orders from US customers reshoring manufacturing. Management targets 25% annual growth with sustainable \~15% margins, and a new Japan subsidiary was incorporated in November 2025 to expand into that market.
  5. Textile restructuring - The fabric division was shut down on July 20, 2026, releasing working capital and eliminating a chronic loss-maker (FY26 loss ₹2.86 crore), while yarn turned profitable at 13% EBITDA in Q1 FY27. Garments are being restructured to break even within two quarters, with capacity utilization expected to rise from 60% to 80-90% as US orders resume.
  6. Defence orders - The JT Cooler, approved by DRDO and an Israeli sensor maker, has received its first orders from Israel worth \~₹20 crore at \~15% margins, with missile canister repeat orders adding \~₹10 crore. This is a new revenue stream with a large but unquantified pipeline under discussion.
  7. Plastic drum closures - Plastic closures grew to \~₹35 crore in FY26 with consistently better margins than metal, and specialized products like anti-filtering closures are in sampling stage. No capacity addition is needed, so incremental sales drop through at high incremental margins.
