- Passenger segment guidance: Titagarh is on track to deliver approximately 200 metro cars this financial year after completing 30 in Q1, with its first Vande Bharat train expected in late Q3 or early Q4. The propulsion division is also slated to contribute meaningfully from Q4 following approval for traction motors.
- Freight wagon outlook: Management expects new wagon tenders to be published by the end of the current financial year amid ongoing railway debottlenecking efforts. Although near-term delays persist, the long-term outlook remains supported by the Indian Railways' 3-billion-ton freight loading target.
- Passenger market dynamics: Shifting certain suburban coach manufacturing to railway production units will free up market opportunities for private players—specifically Titagarh, BEML, and Alstom—to supply components like propulsion systems or meet mainline train demand.
- Order book and contracts: The total order book, including the joint venture share, stood at about ₹26.5 thousand crore as of the June quarter results. Over 90% of contracts feature price variation clauses, effectively passing commodity price fluctuations through to customers.
