- Festive outlook: Tanishq is optimistic about the festive season and expects the next 30 days to go well. The category may decline in grammage as gold prices rise, but Arun Narayan expects good growth in value terms.
- Exchange adoption: More than 50% of Tanishq store transactions now involve some form of exchange, and the share is growing across stores and provinces. The company presents exchange as beneficial to customers and a way to circulate domestic gold and help reduce imports.
- Accessible jewellery: Tanishq is expanding lightweight designs, 18-karat offerings and detachable, multi-wear jewellery; its Adhyanthara collection is roughly 50% 22-karat and 50% 18-karat. The 18-karat alloy is designed to look nearly identical to 22-karat and can provide up to 30% more grams for the same spend; store offers and a 10-month savings plan are also available.
- Diamond demand: The company said natural-diamond demand has grown rapidly over the past 10 months, faster than gold, and sees natural and lab-grown diamonds as separate markets rather than one taking share from the other. Titan also sells lab-grown diamonds under Beyon and is investing in diamond education and expertise centres.
- Trust and transparency: Narayan attributed Tanishq’s brand strength to purity, transparency, customer service, product quality and design, including customer-facing gold and diamond testing machines. Tanishq has roughly 550 stores in the country, roughly 11 in the US, and 20 in the Middle East and Singapore combined.
