- National blending potential: India has the potential to produce 5,000 to 5,500 crore liters of ethanol across 1G and 2G routes, which could substitute 25% of total crude petroleum consumption and significantly reduce the ₹24 lakh crore import bill.
- Feedstock security: Strong domestic outputs of sugarcane, molasses, maize, and rice are sufficient to yield 2,500 crore liters of 1G ethanol without affecting food supplies, while agricultural waste can supply another 3,000 crore liters via the 2G route.
- Ethanol capacity strategy: Operating at 2,000 KLPD and holding around 7% of India's ethanol output, TruAlt has paused further ethanol capacity expansion until market adoption of E85 and E100 fuels matures.
- Sustainable aviation fuel: TruAlt is reallocating capital toward SAF with plans to commission a 300 KLPD (100 million liter) facility around Q3 of next year, supported by recent government rules permitting hydrocarbon blending into aviation turbine fuel.
