Vishnu Prakash R Punglia Ltd Business Overview - SOIC x StockScans Report

Business segments

Four engines built on a single integrated platform - a water-supply anchor that still generates most of the work, a fast-growing railway business, a younger roads division, and an irrigation niche, all fed by in-house equipment, plants and design teams that keep costs inside the company.

1. Water supply: the founding core that still dominates

The company designs and builds entire drinking-water systems - from the intake on a lake or river to the tap in a village household - and this segment has been its bread and butter for over thirty years.

2. Railways: the growth engine doubling its share

Railway station redevelopment and track-doubling contracts have pushed this segment from about 15% of the order book to 33% in three years, with the company aiming for 40%.

3. Roads and civil works: a deliberate EPC-only play

The company builds highways, bridges, flyovers and rail over-bridges, but only on a plain EPC basis - it will not take a concession where its payment depends on traffic or toll collection.

4. Irrigation networks: water expertise applied to agriculture

This segment builds canals, tunnels, reservoirs and pressurised piping systems that move water to farms rather than homes, drawing on the same pipeline and hydraulic skills that power the water-supply business.

Integrated operations and in-house capabilities

The company owns the equipment, the plants and the design team that its projects run on - more than 500 machines, 21 plants, and an in-house engineering team led by the CEO - so it is not renting its competitiveness from subcontractors.

Group structure and partners

The company has no subsidiaries - it is a single standalone entity that bids for large contracts through joint ventures, with 21 jointly controlled operations on its books as of May 2026.
