Westlife Foodworld Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Aug 2026
- Network expansion to 580-630 stores - Westlife targets 580-630 restaurants by December 2027, with 60+ annual openings (up from 45-50), and opened a record 48 stores in FY26 to reach 478 across 78 cities. At roughly ₹2 crore average annual revenue per store, the 100-plus incremental restaurants alone could add over ₹200 crore in sales against a ₹2,704 crore base.
- Everyday Value Meals at ₹99 - The ₹99 value meal, launched December 2025, is seeing healthy traction and is not margin-dilutive, replacing the prior 1+1 offer at ₹69. It is now rolled out across West and select South markets, with full Chennai rollout planned for the current quarter - driving dine-in footfalls without hurting margins.
- South India turnaround - South region ended Q1 FY27 with positive same-store sales growth, driven by double-digit guest count growth across all three months, a meaningful improvement from earlier softness. With 60-plus restaurants in Bangalore alone, South reaching West-level performance could add meaningful same-store growth to the consolidated base.
- McCafé coffee subscription - The monthly coffee subscription, launched in Q4 FY26, offers a McCafé beverage for 10 visits a month at ₹55 and has been "extremely well received". With McCafé at 100% penetration, this builds a daily coffee habit that drives repeat visits and higher frequency across the existing store base.
- Royalty reduction with McDonald's - The royalty fee for FY26 is 5.0%, subject to meeting network growth objectives, with the new base agreement in effect from Q3 FY26. Every 50-basis-point reduction in royalty on ₹2,704 crore revenue is worth roughly ₹13.5 crore to EBITDA - against a ₹344 crore base, that is nearly 4% upside.
- Digital & app ecosystem - Digital sales hit 74% of revenue in Q1 FY27, up 150 bps YoY, with cumulative app downloads crossing 5.5 crore and 0.37 crore monthly active users. The own-app delivery channel is in double-digit percentage of off-premise business and expected to double in 1-2 years, shifting mix toward higher-margin direct orders.
- Chicken platform expansion - The bone-in chicken platform in South (Hyderabad and Bangalore) has "cracked a process" giving a distinct quality advantage, with the aim of adding a fried chicken occasion to McDonald's. Available in all South restaurants and select stores elsewhere, this creates a new daypart and menu occasion beyond burgers, driving incremental guest counts.
