Apsis Aerocom is a precision-manufacturing company that makes the complex metal parts inside fighter jets, medical devices, and commercial aircraft - the components where a microscopic error can mean mission failure. Founded by engineers who had already spent two decades machining the hardest parts in aerospace and defence, the company went from a single small workshop in Bangalore to a listed enterprise in March 2026, raising capital because its order book had outgrown its factory floor. The recurring approach is simple: take on the components that rivals have failed to make for five years, deliver them at 99.99% accuracy, and become the sole supplier the customer cannot replace. # Business segments A single precision-manufacturing engine serving three end-markets - defence, aerospace, and healthcare - from one overstretched factory, with a second plant under construction to unlock the orders it cannot yet accept. ## 1. Defence manufacturing: where the company earns its keep **Most of the revenue comes from making mission-critical components for fighter aircraft and naval systems, delivered to the Indian armed forces through foreign OEM offset programmes.** - **Built on offset contracts** - most defence orders arrive from foreign OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) fulfilling their obligation to source from India, yet 90% of the finished components stay in the country, going directly to the Indian Air Force, Navy, and other defence applications. - **The largest and fastest-growing slice** - defence contributed roughly 65% of total revenue in FY26, up sharply from about 45% the year before, and the company delivered most of its defence contracts ahead of schedule. - **A ₹25 crore backlog already secured** - the defence order book alone stands at approximately ₹25 crore, which is 62% of the total order book, and new defence orders worth more than ₹30 crore were won during FY26. - **Sole-supplier status locks customers in** - for many defence components, Apsis is the exclusive supplier because other manufacturers have tried and failed to develop the same parts over a five-year period; once a process is proven at 99% accuracy, the customer is effectively locked in. ## 2. Aerospace manufacturing: the precision pedigree **Commercial and civil aircraft components are the company’s second business, built on the same AS9100D-certified shop floor and set to get its own dedicated factory.** - **A quarter of the business, with room to grow** - aerospace contributed more than 26% of revenue in FY26, producing precision turning parts, high-precision mechanical parts, and precision milling parts for aircraft applications. - **The AS9100D badge opens doors** - the company holds the aerospace-specific quality management certification, which is a non-negotiable requirement for supplying into the global aviation supply chain. - **A dedicated factory is on the map** - a 40,000-plus square foot land parcel has been allotted at Devanahalli, near Bangalore’s international airport, designated specifically for aerospace manufacturing under a planned Unit III facility. - **A ₹12.9 crore order book waiting** - aerospace orders represent 32% of the total backlog, giving the company visibility on future work as it builds out capacity. ## 3. Healthcare manufacturing: the smaller, steady third leg **Medical-device components are a modest but deliberate part of the mix, with a newly upgraded product line about to enter production.** - **A product refresh is underway** - the company developed and upgraded a previous version of a healthcare system, and that upgraded system is now about to start production, signalling renewed activity in the segment. - **A small but present order book** - healthcare orders account for ₹1.60 crore, or 4% of the total backlog, providing a baseline of work alongside the larger defence and aerospace commitments. # The manufacturing engine that powers all three **One integrated shop floor takes a component from a client drawing all the way to final delivery - no middlemen, no outsourced steps - and a second, larger plant is being built to double capacity.** - **End-to-end under one roof** - the company handles CAD/CAM programming, material planning, precision machining, surface finishing, quality inspection, assembly, and dispatch in-house, which reduces reliance on third parties and keeps quality control tight. - **A fully-loaded first factory** - Unit I in Bangalore’s Peenya Industrial Area operates at roughly 8,500 square feet with an installed capacity of 1,20,000 components per year, and it is already fully utilised, generating approximately ₹30 crore of business. - **Unit II doubles the floor** - a new facility at the Hitech Aerospace and Defence Park near Bangalore airport will add 20,000 square feet and roughly 1,80,000 components per year of installed capacity, with 8 machines already on site and partial operations beginning in August 2026. - **250 new components developed in a year** - the engineering team designed and validated more than 250 new components across all three end-markets in FY26, including more than 15 new aerospace parts, many of which are now ready for full-scale production.
